After a few months (or years in case of build 41) once the IWBUMS version gets ironed out, it will be released as default version. Current plans for build 42 do not include human NPCs. It includes: Farm animals. Farming system overhaul. Fishing system overhaul. Fire propagation and visuals overhaul. Crafting stations and crafting system expansion.
