Mkiii hunter

About a month ago, I finally gave in to a long time dream and bought myself a RUGER Mark III Hunter. I have always associated the name RUGER with quality, however this time they seem to have a flaw in the design. Whenever I use any hollow point or any solid point 22LR with a flat nose, I get frequent Feed Ramp Jams where the sharp lower edge of the Feed Ramp cuts into the nose of the bullet ...

The 22/45 has the poly lower with the fixed, non interchangeable grips. The grip of the 22/45 seemed too stinny and it was too "squared" The lower metal "regular" MK III has more of a slanted handle, that is more rounded. I think the 6 7/8 would probably give you more accuracy shooting iron sights as it gives a longer sight radius, but if you're mounting an optic to it, that won't matter.
