Lift the Keurig lid and rotate your k-cup 90 degrees (a right angle) and close lid/pierce again. I think like Clinty said that the 2nd pierce releases extra pressure built up in the k-cup. Now run your brew., Take all the removable parts off of your Keurig (water tank, filter and basket, carafe and cup tray), turn machine onto its side where you can see up into where you would put the basket. Take some q-tips and toothpicks and scrap out the grounds. , When making the second pot it starts coming out of the Kcup side instead and will brew a skim of coffee into the carafe. I have tried unplugging, resetting etc and it refuses to brew a second pot. Had to pull out the old reliable 20 dollar walmart brewer to finish the job.
