Hydroid has a nice, broad niche as a tanky armor stripper now. His 1 no longer interferes with your gameplay, his 2 is basically Rolling Guard without a mod slot, his 3 is a nice damage buff that makes all enemy armor a non-issue and adds player armor at a good rate, and his 4 no longer makes enemies impossible to shoot. This is just typical for DE, the people in charge have affinity and personal reasons to see some frames get rework done before other and this shows it quite well not only with Hydroid.
