We planned our around the world itinerary so that we would be in Nepal at the end of September, the start of the trekking season to Everest Base Camp. Most people make the trek in early to mid-October. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and all facilities are clean and up the usual Earth Treks standard. Overall, my sense is that, compared to Earth Treks Arlington (the other Earth Treks climbing gym in the DC area), this gym caters to more advanced climbers (i.e., there isn't a large selection of climbs rated under 5.10(a)).Elevation Gain: 830 meters (2,723 feet) Distance: 10.4 km (6.5 miles) The second day is one of the most difficult days of the trek.
