These new diesels are so quiet now that you can hear all the weird stuff that has always made noise but was drowned out by engine rattle. New Ride: 2020 GMC 2500 CCLB DMAX. Old Ride: 2004 Chevy 2500 CCSB DMAX.

The Silverado book says it was filled with "Dexos" but the LGH and LML Duramax Diesel supplement book says to use API CJ-4 oil. I can't locate it, it's easily heard from both passenger and drivers side of truck. It isn't noisy any other time.
