The dual wielder feat is bad for a dex based character. Being able to off-hand a normal weapon instead of a light weapon means one of your two weapons get +1 damage on average. You also get +1 AC. Or, you could just take a dex ASI which will also get you that AC, +1 damage to both weapons instead of just one, and then a whole lot more.
