Engine Timing 1970 396/350. Recently finished a tune up on the original engine (plugs, points, oil etc.). Engine is completely stock - TH400, no air. I have a meter and set the idle and the dwell @ 30* and initial timing @ 4* BTC per the Chassis Service Manual. With less than 100 miles since the tune up the engine idles and runs smooth.
