May 28, 2018 · Install distributor pointing to #1 plug wire. I typically put timing marks at about 10deg before TDC & line up the pickup/reluctor in the distributor while pointing at #1 plug wire. This will typically result in a near instant start without much trouble. I always install at TDC on #6 when both dots face each other.
